When I called up the page I had not yet logged in to City Data, and got two ads at the top of the post, for Columbus, OH and Windsor, ONT. Palm trees, shouldn't be either, although the banner on the left DOES look like the logo for ScotiaBank in Canada.

It is Scotiabank, but Scotiabank is also a very international banking brand that's got a lot of presence in Latin America and the Carribean. I'm guessing either Windsor or Bogota, Columbia with that sixties apartment block architecture.

Windsor is correct.

Sluggo said it first but it wasn't in the form of an answer/guess but just a statement.

Idk, you two above fight over who gets to go next..

lmao, you guys were all over the place! Texas, the Caribbean!? COLUMBIA!? 0.o

It's as if CD handed it to me. I'll be away from the computer until tomorrow pulling out a stump so BIMBAM has the next post, I never really guessed it, just made an observation. Since I've spent a lot of time in the Caribbean (both on vacation and with the Air Force in Curacao) I remember ScotiaBank well.

Not in a million billion years could I have guessed this. I figured it wasn't East Coast No. America or anywhere in Central/So. America or W. Europe due to lack of churches. Color of water implied tropical. And that's as far as I got.

But that's why the instructions say to save the photo on your drive under a different name than the original.

So people like me can't figure it out from the page source code :-)

Port Louis, Mauritius

I take it you've been there? If not, what made you think of it?

Way to ruin the fun! Yeah, I guess I was too lazy to go the rigorous route to hide it, but you should have asked a couple of questions first. You're also wrong about the lack of churches, there's an enormous one right there at the bottom of the picture, near the centre. I haven't been to Mauritius but I've known a couple people from there because I grew up in Montreal which is also a French-English bilingual place in the Commonwealth (okay, I guess Mauritian Creole isn't French but it's close enough and most everyone knows Standard French), so Mauritian people immigrate there. Mauritius has just always captured my imagination, this wonderful, culturally fascinating and somewhat prosperous jewel of a tropical paradise, sitting out in the middle of the Indian Ocean all on its own.

It's also not that small of a country, 1.25 million people live there. Do you want to post a picture or do you want me to put a better guarded one up?
