I am deeply sorry then, was aware that Basra was a city of Canals and it did look like it.

Google showed this to me when I was looking for Basra skyline.

I will have to be more careful next time.

I have only flown over Basra (not in a touristy way, either, but in an F-16) and the large amount of water threw me; it didn't look right, I'm relieved my memory was not fading.
