I don't see a dome in the pic posted, I just looked at a Northern city, a lake, your location, and literally guessed that it was Madison. That's about as lucky as it gets... no lottery tickets today, cashed in the luck already.
This place is (a) flat and (b) often cold. "Landmark" buildings partially hidden.
I should have been more precise in my wording. What I meant was, if I had shown the dome in the view, it would have been a giveaway.

That round building was at one time the Hotel Aztec, if I remember correctly.
Been to San Diego a lot. Honeymooned there, then was stationed about two hours north, and when I lived in AZ it was an annual occurrence. Now my sister lives nearby so even more times to visit.
