Did not expect that, but it has that "Dakotan" or "Montanan" look to it.

For a change of venue:

Just kidding, not the real skyline. Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, 1997. The real one follows.

Izmir it is, the pics I took in 1984 are nothing like the one above.

Is often overlooked, due to being eclipsed by much bigger neighbor close by:

This is weird, was looking for pics of the posted place last week, brilliant minds must think alike. About twelve years ago my wife and I flew into that larger neighbor's airport for a wedding nearby, but took a few days before to visit the area; had a cheesesteak, saw the Liberty Bell, visited Independence Hall, stayed in Lancaster, and then went on a couple days later to that friend's wedding outside Annapolis. (Was way cheaper to Philly than BWI or IAD). We actually spent more time in Rehoboth than the depicted city of Wilmington, Delaware, just drove by to say we did. Last week I was trying to find the couple of pictures we took of Wilmington but I don't have any... got some of Camden, NJ. There's a similarity with this one to the previous one:

That wouldn't happen to be a name similarity? as in Wilmington, North Carolina. (the only major NC city left, that has eluded my visit so far)

A simple search shows you were correct w.r.t. Wilmington, NC. I thought the sun angle was too low to be in SE NC...

That's likely Charleston, SC with its distinctive cable-stayed bridge
