I hadn’t even finished your post when my imagination kicked in.
And I could just see someone in another solar system looking at Ursa Major and seeing a huge bears butt.
Hey, do Ursa Majors sh*t in the galaxy or is that just a globular cluster I see?

Well, the believers who consider themselves more sophisticated and knowledgeable will point out that the newspaper horoscopes aren't the real thing, and that if you want a really accurate horoscope you have to have a whole reading and everything.

They will pretty much ignore you when you point out that the doctor who was standing there when you were born exerted more gravity on you than any of these planets or stars that supposedly affect your destiny. Maybe you should say that you were born under the sign of Feldman, or O'Reilly, or Farnsworth.

To make a long story short, astrology is nonsense.
Oooops. I thought for a moment you were talking about the bible and it's validity. Same sort of origins though, huh? Sorry.

But before you finalize your thinking on the subject, I'd suggest you consult with YSM on this one. I'm sure she'll set your erroneous ways straight....

Astrology is perfect.
The problem is with astrologers - they don't know what they are talking about...

i used to read my horoscope in any reading article that have it. i don't anymore. that's coz i don't read any reading article anymore. internet has EVERYthing i want. but when i was reading, it was more like trying to see if it applies to me. most of the time it does. but i know that the prediction is just so vague, i just shrug about it. ultimately you decide what you make out of your life.

Astrology is quite interesting, whether you believe it or not...

I suppose seeking out something "mystical" is quite exciting to some.

I'm pretty interested in my horoscope at times and it's a great way to pass the time and read random things that might happen in your life--whether you are a believer or not.

Nope. I think it's one of the many con tricks used to ensnare susceptible minds. The Human mind seems to have an un-ending propensity to cling on to anything other than science and facts are never quite as sexy to many people... I suspect reality is often a little too harsh and "basic" for many people and anything vaguely "mysterious" is always appealing to some.

I think astrology is interesting. All those houses, charts and arcane symbols. I think it's entertaining in a goofy sort of way, and the newspaper predictions are cleverly stated so as to seem accurate to the greatest number of people. But at its heart, of course it's beaver biscuits.
