I heard something on the news that the Senate is working on a 2nd stimulus bill?

How valid was that, and what are the chances it goes through? They said instead of $1200 check, it could be $2,000/mth per person?

Seems extreme.

I would be very surprised if the govt does anything similar. The next round will have more for states and locals if anything. Don't expect any more handouts regardless of need or not.

i agree. trump is fighting hard to "reopen" everything, he wants everything to go back to normal (which i personally dont think is possible without a vaccine or cure) i highly doubt he will approve another direct payment

Lot of clickbait on YouTube with this stuff. The only two I pay any attention are to Logan Allec and Clear Value Tax. Most of the others are trying to sell other stuff or are kids just posting the same crap over and over again with no knowledge whatsoever.

I expect all further bills to be more targeted, such as UI supplement or payroll reimbursements. There's not going to be any more blanket checks to everyone, including those not hurting at all.

Just read this at Forbes

https://www-forbes-com.cdn.ampprojec...mulus-check%2F

No, There Is Not Growing Support For A Second Stimulus Payment
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but here it is: there is no growing bipartisan consensus to issue a second stimulus check, whether a one-time payment or a monthly, recurring payment. Republicans are stymieing efforts and, given their control of the Senate and the White House, the concept is as good as dead without their backing. If anything, recent Republican commentary has coalesced against a second round of direct payments.
