The stimulus is coming from the Fed, not the state.

My spouse looked at his account this morning and noted a pending $1,200 check from the IRS. Crazy thing is he makes $200k a year, his job is stable and we didn’t for a moment expect it or need it.

That's really weird. Was his income $200K on his 2018 tax return?

Basically, like $185k.

It does say pending, so maybe it will be snatched back lol.

or else it will be adjusted when you file your 2020 return next year. and even stranger if they "messed up" why didn't you receive $2400 instead of $1200 if filing status was married filing jointly?
