I think I'm done with the Dome. It would have been OK if they wrapped things up as planned at the end of this season, but the prospect of stretching this thing out for another full season is just too much for me. Of course they're not going to hang Barbie. Of course Junior will have some sort of a transformation and become respectable (probably kills Big Jim). I just don't want to sit through another twenty episodes to get where they're going. It's just another mess like Lost at this point.

Caught this last episode on CBS online after a few days it must go over to Amazon Prime. I'm glad I quit watching and I won't watch next summer most likely. What purpose was putting the egg into the lake? Poor Barbie has to 'hang' around waiting for the return. <pun intended>

THESE PEOPLE ARE MORONS! I just watched the last episode. Julia had the F'ing radio the whole time, and could have told Linda, not that Linda is too bright herself. Seriously, Jim's wife predicting the dome has NOTHING to do with him, it does not make him special in any way, at best it could make her son special, but not her husband. Julia didn't say a word when the radio guy was beating him up. That was the perfect time to say, "stop, Barbie didn't shoot me, listen to us!"

All those kids knew Barbie was innocent, they could have run and told the town he didn't shoot Julia, and they should at least wait. What's the deal with the public hanging without even a hint of a trial? I don't care about scary things are, that's absurd! I don't care how "podunk" the town is someone has to be smart enough to question a hanging w/o a trial, that's a scary precedent to set. This town is too stupid to save, I don't know why these creatures or whatever they are would bother with them. Also, why the heck would they make Junior one of the four? He's pathetic, and completely under his dad's thumb.

I've watched every episode of this series. I would have to say I both like and dislike Under the Dome. I like the concept of the story, but it never seemed to get anywhere. Clues and answers to much about the Dome were close to nonexistent. So I'm not sure I will bother watching next summer. I can't say I can remember if there have been other shows that return the following summer. So in many ways I guess I would say, that I'm disappointed in this show and the finale was not what I would have hoped for. In fact I think the series should have just ended with this last show. Either bring the dome down or whatever. Just end the damn show. How many people really want to wait all year, to start watching this show again.

I agree - if it doesn't come on until next summer, I doubt I'll have any interest. I am one of the few that liked the book (which the movie is nothing like) - I wanted to like the show but was really disappointed (especially with last night).

Agree with others. No one put one and one together to ask why Julia was helping Barbie escape the jail when he was supposedly the one who tried to kill her (per Big Jim)? Seriously?

I don't think any of them are exactly acting with 'logic' so I can accept some of the behavior. The egg is what the four (three?) are focusing on. I'm wondering what changes were made in the scripts to accomidate the second season. My guess is the citizenry are scared out of their gourd with the sudden darkness and are looking for someone to save them. When Big Jim takes over the crowd in the church, and he is capable of such 'charm' he's being his true self, but they are willing to overlook it for an answer.

I think Junior is really the pivitol character, and the makers of the Dome knew about whatever was coming to the outside world, and only want to preserve inside if its *good*. Junior is the one who will tip it, if he sees past dad or can't. I will actually be interested in seeing the next batch next summer.

I think you missed my point. I know Julia saw Max shot her. The two guys that Barbie beat up at the station SAW Julia with him even though they were told that Barbie was the one that shot her. Didn't those two guys stop to think hey why was the "victim" helping her shooter escape?
