I hated Alice. Hope she doesn't show up.

Couldn't stand Alice (the character irritated me, and the actress-her features just irk me), but I'm happy to get another Luther story

I loved Alice. Not so interested in the topic of The Affair on Shotime but would like to see the actress in something else. Alas, I don''t have Shotime.
I do think this coming 'episode' sounds sort of awful with its over the top lets race to the bottom for the worst serial killer theme of cannibalism but I'll watch anyway.

So who's watched S4? I liked it more than I thought I would. Thought the Game of Thrones actor and character was good.
Luther was so Luther.
Was a little surprised at the whole Alice sub plot. Not sure about Megan. I do think Alice is dead........????

I love this show and Idris Elba is one of the finest actors working today. I love how gritty and realistic British shows are, I love Cracker, Prime Suspect, Life on Mars, Sherlock, Torchwood and some of the Dr Who shows of Russel T Davies.

Default Luther--BBC Season 4

Watching this via VPN last night--
Just two episodes--
Really gory about someone who kills people and eats body parts--
Guess it was an allegory about feeding off those we love or need if carried to the nth degree---
And there is second story line about the Ruth Wilson character--
Watched the first episode and started the second--just too gory for me (and there was warning label)

I am sure anything coming to US television will be more restrained but I will be happy to see Idris as Bond--
More finess even if same level of mayhem...

I disagree. I was disturbed when I heard it was a cannabilism type plot and still think its a bit lame. But the gore was not shown nearly as much as on US TV. As I watched them arrive and go through each new crime scene killing I mentally thanked BBC for not showing it. Hearing it was bad enough yes but in the US I fairly regularly get thrown off my food by the sight of...zombies eating flesh, Mucus commercials, toe nail fungus commercials, morgue shots......

S5 due to air on BBC One sometime soon - no firm date set yet.
It’s expected to hit the U.S. airwaves next year.

Luther is back and solving a series of brutal killings in first trailer for season 5
