I used to really like this show, but there have been too many changes to the original premise/cast. I watched the episode you mention, and decided it was probably best to make it the unofficial "series finale" episode for me, since it's departed so far from the show I "fell in like" with.
I used to love this show, but I didn't like the move to Whales, and it's gotten even less interesting with 2/3 of the cast gone. My Tivo is still recording it, but I haven't watched since the first episode this season, it's just not the same.
I love Hal.
I am starting to love Tom.
And, I think that Cuttler is one of the most creative and funniest characters to show up on a TV series in a long time.
Sure, I'll will always miss the originals, and I wish them much luck in their future endeavors, but, I will definitely keep watching.
The finale will make me want to keep going. It was touch and go there for a little while. I started getting interested when Hal got interested in that girl he eventually drank from, she's AWESOME!
Cried a little for Annie, but I'm sure she'll be back every now and then.

I agree. I think that Alex is a fabulous character.
Her comment on seeing him on the floor was just too perfect.
I'm really hoping that we get more of Hal's background next series. You cannot just name someone Henry "Hal" York and not have that mean something.
