Couldn't agree with you more. Certainly makes you wonder about THEIR commitment, huh?

I have run into several people who got married because it is "a sin to have sex outside marriage" but ended up divorced within a year because once the hormones calmed down they discovered they not only had very little in common, they actually didn't like each other very much.

Those people need to seriously have a soul searching session.

Ah-ha-ha!!!
It is called sexual education, and the basic idea that you need to spend some time with a partner (including sex) before talking of marriage. I think that lying about 'love' when you mean just 'sex' and tricking a person into a marriage by bring in religious arguments would be a much bigger sin than sex outside the marriage.

You and I know that but many of those who get their weekly indoctrination from some "pastor" who sent away for a license to preach for $5 are usually not critical thinkers and have no clue.

Yeah and it seems a few of them have got in trouble looking for love, like Ted Haggard and Lonnie Latham.

Before we can get into a discussion about exactly what the definition of marriage is, we need to define it.
