Hey 6/3,
There are several places like that around Tulsa to bike, mostly on the west side of the river. The Tulsa Wheelmen is a local bike club there that has all kinds of events.

Tulsa Wheelmen - Home Page

And yes, there is recreation on the river. There is kayaking, and I've noticed some motor craft out there; not big boats but waverunners and the like. There is a place on the river called "the wave" that produces some pretty good kayaking adventure, although in times of drought the river can get really low. There have been sailboats on the river, but usually only during events. I haven't heard of a sailboat on the river in a good while though.

The Wave:

Rather than go into other events around the city, below are two links about Tulsa things to do and places to eat. I'm also going to create a sticky for the Tulsa forum and put this information there.

We went to visit a friend in the hospital in Tulsa last weekend, and I took some speed by pics on the way.

On the beeline, highway 75.

Glenpool is a nice community south of Tulsa. This is what is looks like from the highway.

A nice horse property south of Tulsa.

Now we are in Tulsa, on Yale. It was a nice Saturday so we saw lots of people out exercising.

Tulsa traffic

Tulsa has a lot of trees. That is some kind of office back there.

Tulsa neighborhood

I've never been in this part of Tulsa before, but I think its kind of scenic.

This area is more business and medical buildings.

St Francis Hospital

Parking was not that hard here, compared to other hospitals.

More later.

Thanks. I would put these photos in the "informative" class. I like taking them, but I am behind on posting.
