You will probably love it there, especially if you have kids. It's not to my taste (I enjoy a more urban neighborhood) but Broken Arrow has decent schools and low crime.
I should mention that if you are not of the Christian faith you will be in a very small minority. And most Christians don't like others who are different than themselves! What I'm saying is the enviroment is very WASP-y. Just sayin'.

Even more bland than Tulsa (granted, Tulsa's blandness isn't necessarily so negative, but Broken Arrow's is), and less money than Owasso. Why does Tulsa even need suburbs is beyond me. There isn't alot of crime there, the cost of living is low. I guess it's because people wanted big houses and backyards. As my grandpa (who is 81-82, can't remember) who lives down by the river in Tulsa says, "they say the kids want a horsey so they have to move out of the city, even though the kid has never seen a horse and wouldn't know what to do with it".

Exclamation Beware of Broken Arrow...

I live in Broken Arrow and just had our dog shot by a neighbor...IN THE CITY LIMITS!!! I'd love to give a name online, but dare not.... Anyway, my dog got out of the back yard while we were away at my grandmother's funeral. I realize that she should not have done that, but did it really call for a shooting??? I just can't seem to accept that...possibly a fine I could accept. an angry neighbor I could understand, but a shooting??? That's just insane!!! The BA police were called of course, as the gentleman use a firearm in the city limits, but now the police will NOT contact me. I have left 3 messages now with the responding officer...no reply!!! The neighbors all around are staying in their houses and not answering the door. It's all very strange!!!
Beware of Broken Arrow residents!!!!

ACmom, I am SO sorry for your loss. It hurts so bad to lose a pet because they ARE family members. Could you contact the Humane Society or is there any other place that could help? That man should be convicted of animal cruelty and be penalized.

That is sad. If there was no justification for the shooting, such as the dog attacking someone or attacking their pet, the person should be brought to justice.

Thank you for your kind replies!! I have made a few more calls to the police but this weekend is the Rooster Days celebration (yes, you're wondering what that is...dont know the origin, but it's the big community festival every May) Anyway, the officers are all busy with that, but after 4 messages, I would have expected at least a minimal "we'll get with you as soon as Rooster Days are over" reply. NOTHING!!! My neighbor returned from a "mysterious" trip he's been on since Thursday (the day of the CRIME!!!) I am not approaching him...he might shoot me!!! My biggest disappointment is not with the neighbor...there are unstable people everywhere. My biggest issue is with the police.
