Yet, none of them were legally allowed to carry a gun.
A lot of these murderers seem to have easy access to guns. It is obviously too easy to get a gun in the US. There are people dying from been shot in the US every day.
Countries in Europe and Australia have had a very small number of incidents where guns were used by a lone gun man to kill a large number of people, Port Arthur in Australia and the incident in Norway come to mind.
The reaction was to clamp down on gun ownership. Since Port Arthur in 1996 there hasn't been any other incidents in Australia.
Americans appear to not want to do anything about gun ownership. I'm an outsider so I don't understand it. Guns make killing very easy.
Who do we blame? - the National Rifle Association (NRA) for making it FAR too easy to obtain guns.
Here we go again. Blame it on the good old boogeyman, the NRA, instead of absentee parents (probably no male presence in the home) and kids with too much time on their hands and devotion to a "gangsta" lifestyle.

Are you suggesting rounding up and just confiscating all guns? That's the only thing that would work, but at what cost?
The problem is more cultural than anything.

It is very difficult isn't it? This thing crops up all the time and I don't think Americans will give up their guns. In Australia the guns were turned in voluntary and there was a buy back scheme by the Government. The US has a lot more guns in circulation than Australia though.
I've heard Americans using the slogan that "guns don't kill people, people kill people" but that is just ignoring the elephant in the room.

Poor choice of an adjective, but I am just blown away anymore with cold blooded killers who are still not even legal adults.

I have no use for celebrity figures who endorse and make their living glorifying that life style either.

There are enough firearms of every kind in the US that, outside of government confiscating them, they will always be with us.

We have guns in our house. They've never just grown legs, got out of the cabinet, and started shooting people on thier own.
That's just what I was talking about. Guns are made to kill people with ease. They aren't for decoration.
Yes. Since I prefer not to be killed with ease if some thug shows up with a gun, I need equal firepower to protect myself.
If I gave up my guns, would the criminals magically give theirs up? I think not.
