Police have found an unidentified body in an Arvada, Colo., park, just a few miles from where 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway went missing last Friday.

Police haven’t officially tied the crime scene at the Pattridge Park open space in Arvada to the missing girl.

Sad. I hope she didn't suffer. I can't even imagine what the family is going through.

I hope they catch the (expletive) that did this, quickly.

ABC News just confirmed the body found earlier tonite was Jessica's. I sure hope they have some leads/suspect(s). How senseless, she seemed like such a happy girl.

I read that she walked about a block to meet her friends each morning and then they walked a mile to school.

That seems reasonable to me though clearly, it depends on the area.

Now they're saying the search continues and havent positively identified the body as Jessica's -

Police: Search continues for missing Colorado girl - ToledoNewsNow.com: News, Weather & Sports for Toledo, OH

I hope it's not hers but then it w/b someone else's which is also very sad - it c/b they want to search the area for clues as the body was discovered last nite when it was dark (even w/ lights brought in to help etc), to do as thorough a search as possible (my understanding is the area is blocked off) - I cant imagine what her family is going thru.

I know the odds haven't changed from the 50's of your kid getting kidnapped, but I wouldn't allow a mile to school or anywhere. Especially if it was a regular route (ie. someone could be watching it happen daily and set something up).

My goal is not to be a helicopter parent, but that's just a little too far me at 10 years old, boys too.
