I think the prosecution should/could have used Matt Sandusky's testimony as rebutal witness to his mother's testimony--
he could have probably contradicted her statement that the basement at the Sandusky house is not sound proof--meaning that if those boys had cried for help as several testified, she would have heard them...

well you can bet that Matt probably had his share of attention from Jerry in the family basement when he was a young boy...
he was not adopted until after he was 17 or 18--which is odd--did not happen when he was a child...
so maybe Jerry did that as way of saying you will always be special to me...

On ABC evening news this evening they mentioned that in the event of an aquittal the prosecution has witnesses and victims that did not testify in this case and that they would pursue a new case with new charges against Sandusky.

I hope the jury has the guts to present a guilty verdict. If not and a new case is opened then they should move it to another venue with sensible reasonable jurists.

I wonder why Matt Sandusky did not testify? INMO, he would have been a key element.

He was not one of the original complainants making the charges
so his first hand testimony could not be used to accuse his father or corroborate testimony of the accusers

BUT I think his testimony could be used as rebuttal to his mother's in some way IF the prosecution had been really thinking about how to use it
surely part of what happened to Matt happened in the basement of that house
surely Dottie (hate to call her his mother) was close when Jerry was abusing Matt
I bet Matt knew of other boys Jerry abused--when Matt was younger and involved in Second Mile--probably not the boys who are the accusers currently

he could have given testimony about the letter Jerry wrote to one boy that were used as evidence--about whether or not he also got letters like that when he was still living with his birth parents

I just think the prosecution had almost too much evidence in some ways and not enough in others
were ANY of these boys ever treated by dr for what was anal rape???
can't believe they never had issues related to physical abuse that required treatment

Sandusky was probably very careful. Sickos like him think everything is consensual. I don't doubt these young boys were exploitated. It confuses these kids, because a skilled child molester actually makes the child experience pleasure, so they are confused, and feel even more guilt. Pervert sicko. I hope he gets to spend time in prison.

I wonder though, I don't know...was there enough evidence presented?

This morning, the Jury asked to have read to it the testimony regarding Count 7. That might indicate they've worked-through 1 through 6. The defense claimed the allegation was unsubstantiated and the Judge ruled to let the Jury decide if it should be dismissed. My Second day suggestion for a verdict seems to be off. Monday or Tuesday, probably ... given the 45+ counts they're discussing.

Because defense already appealled for change of venue and juror bias (even though denied by the court), he can't appeal again for reason of juror bias.

Hes facing 51 counts, certainly he'll be found guilty on enough counts to get a lengthy prison sentence. No doubt, he'll appeal.

I'm nervous the jury has deliberated for 14 hours thus far.
