What do you think would be the approximate cost for such an Atlantic crossover?
Here are some for €99 ($138) per day single occupancy. It looks like the trip would take about 10 to 14 days.

Thank you so, so much, kaboom and jk gourmet. I truly appreciate it. I will look at those sites in more detail as it doesn't look like the price would be as prohibitive as I'd expected.

It would be amazing if somehow this became an option. I have not seen my family in over 2 years and I hope this will make it possible. No, unfortunately, flying is not an option for me.

I did not even know where to start looking. Everything I'd seen googling was very, very expensive.

Thank you a million.

It's a pleasure to help - though frankly, if I were a woman traveling alone, I'd avoid the cargo/freighter ship that kaboom was recommending. (and I'm a pretty gutsy traveler, and have frequently traveled solo.)

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

From Miami or Atlanta it is. The east coast is not just NYC and Boston. And it all depends on the tailwinds. Which are stronger in the winter. Even now today the NYC-London flights where all close to 6hrs around 5:50hr. From D.C it is easily be 6+ also not all flights go to the UK and Ireland. Fights to other countries like Germany and Spain.

Go to Royal Carribean.com or Carnival.com or any other major cruise lines they ALL have trans Atlantic trips. The issue is getting back. Also single occupancy will more expensive.

If flying is not an option for a medical reason that is unfortunate.

If flying is not an option for a fear of flying, get some psychological help, some meds and just go. It is really does not make sense to incur cost and time like this. Flying over the Atlantic is MUCH safer than sailing over the Atlantic. That is for sure.

The problem with the TA cruises, as they are called, is they go east in the spring and west in the fall. So you're going to have a very long stay! I believe P&O may do regular back and forths, but will cost $$$.

If you do know that then why bring it up---- what is your reason. If it is a fear of flying you are in much more danger in a car on your way to and from the airport
