Hideously ugly. Good on gas. Cheap cost. Good build quality. Reliable.

I got the 4 Door, not that ugly hatchback that I saw in the picture.

Parents driving it over now.

Have you tried the Honda Fit? It gets good ratings and has an amazing amount of storage space in the back. It also looks really great.

Another car is the Mazda3 -- nice stereo and great handling....

Being ugly is not a big deal.

My GF's son just bought a Yaris last week. My impression is that it's a very decent small car. The interior room and trunk space are both much more than you'd expect in a subcompact. The interior is well thought-out and attractive. The front seats are very comfortable and a guy my size (6ft) fits easily. I even fit reasonably well in the back seat. The sound system is much better than I'd expected. Handles well, feels solid on the Interstate, very tight turning circle, and phenomenal gas mileage. And of course, Toyotas have long enjoyed a reputation for long life and minimal maintenance issues.

I give it a thumbs up.

The sedans aren't bad looking....its the coupe that a little on the ugly side, but not horrible. It could be worse, it could look like the new Hyundai Elantras...they look like eggs on wheels.

Honestly, for the very small difference in price and almost exact same gas mileage, I would go with the Corolla over the Yaris.

Me? Id take the Elantra any day over the Yaris. The Yaris h/b is one of the fugliest things mankind ever penned. Ugh. Two thumbs down on design.

On the other hand, you'll still be driving the toyota after 60,000 miles.

I used it few times as a loaner for a day. Nice small car, excelent mileage my only concern would be in case of accident, particulary rear-end collision with SUV or pickup truck!!!
