Where can I get a really cheap haircut in Toronto? (price, shopper)

I'm used to $5 haircuts every week but I'm in Toronto for a little bit and I can't find anything cheaper than $17. Where can I go?

It depends what cut you're getting. First Choice is pretty dirt cheap if you want to go that route.

Plenty of super cheap haircutting options in the Spadina / Dundas area. I'm talking < $10.

Yes, for a few years now I've cheated on what was my regular barber with one in the Kensington Market (a few friendly Asian-run shops around Dundas St and Augusta Ave) for about $6.

Is there anything in that price range along Hurontario or elsewhere in Mississauga (or in a close enough area?) The closest to the QEW, the better.

I bet if you were to wander around the Hurontario and Dundas area for a bit, you'd find a place doing cheap haircuts.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm a regular shopper at FreshCo/Food Basics at King St. and I bank at RBC's Cooksville branch right on the corner of Dundas. I'll check it out next time I'm there.

Would you advise going to these places, though? Those shops/boutiques seem kind of... well, iffy, but that could just be me. Am I misjudging things?

i got a 6$ hair cut in one of those asian joints in china town, it was a complete disaster. better set your expectations very low.
