Lions Court would not be my first choice, or make it into my top five. It has had a recent renovation, but is located in the "not so great part of town". I would start on or near Southwest Parkway. It runs the width of the city and has many choices. Streets that run off of SW Pkwy have good choices depending on where you work and or where you want to live. 10 years ago we lived in the Parkway Villa Apts, which is off of Brookdale, right off SW Pkwy. Prior to that is was off Professional Drive, off again SW Pkwy. They were not the cream of the crop, by any means. There wasn't anything wrong with them either. Anyway seeing is believing and would be recommended.

Default Help I have another question

Thank you for your info. I Have another question. Does anyone have an idea what the average pay is for an overnight stock clerk, or a casher in a department store or a grocery store. thanks for any info I can get. This is the type of work I know. Knowing this would help us to know what we can afford in an apartment. Thanks again.

I lived in Wichita Falls for several years and really enjoyed it. Clean, friendly city. I lived in SW area. There is a nice little place called SpanishTrace, which may still have a few lease apartments, mostly are little cabanas which are owned. Very quiet, has a nice courtyard and pool, etc. They are very comfortable, quiet and clean, and was able to have a small pet. I leased from Remax, so might give them a try.

I lived in WF for a year (1994-95). I was in Raintree Apts. just off SW Parkway on Burnett Rd. They were fine. I had no trouble there.

Good luck with your search.

I was stationed there from 1982-1989 and the advice I can give you is that if you move into an apartment complex, make sure that it has plenty of working drain gutters in the pavement. All I can remember was that it rained hard and sometimes sideways with the wind blowing so hard. The rain came down so hard that the gutters did not have time to take all that water in, you could see a whirlpool form around the drains. And if you did not know any better, you would step into the water at another area to avoid getting it into your shoes, and when you stepped on the water, it went up to your ankle or higher.
