I think the southern portion of the City of Abilene is the best part of town.I hear the north side can be bad.Also, there is newer development near ACU and the walmart on the 20.

If I was you, I would avoid the entire surrounding 400 miles or so.

The vast majority of new residential development in Abilene is on the far south side of town, with tons of new cookie cutter subdivisions popping up in Potosí on the far southeast side along FM-1750. Sadly there’s virtually no commercial development in Potosí except for a ace hardware store they recently opened.
