Sometimes I like a little bit of whipped cream on pies like pumpkin or sweet potato or chocolate pie but as a rule I don't normally put toppings on them especially not ice cream!!!!! Ruins it for me!

I'd say nine and a half times out of 10, I eat pastry-top pies with no whipped cream or a side of ice cream. In the case of cream pies, unless there's meringue, I'll use whipped cream, but only if the filling involves pudding.
What's y'all's take on the occasional piece of cheddar cheese on apple pie?? That is, for those of you that like apple pie? Plain or the occasional cheddar cheese slice?? What say you?
