Starting at 12 O'clock and going clockwise, the surrounding towns are Coppell, Farmers Branch, Irving, Euless, Colleyville, Southlake and Grapevine. Strictly looking at GoogleMaps shows that Southlake and Irving are directly in line with a runway. Euless, Grapevine and perhaps Coppell are too close for most traffic to turn and overfly. Colleyville and Farmers Branch are along a line almost perpendicular to runways, which should prevent most flights from passing over head.

Using www.greatschools.net for educational information (rating is out of 10).

10 Coppell (Coppell HS)
5 Farmers Branch (Turner HS)
6 Irving (McAurther HS)
8 Euless (Trinity or Bell HS)
10 Colleyville (Colleyville Heritage HS)
10 Southlake (Carroll HS)
10 Grapevine (Grapevine HS)
