You know the methodology is wrong if Dallas and San Antonio are close.

San Antonio has three choke points and that pretty much it.

Next.

I'll assume you've never been in the Gulf Of Mexico.

I used to go for day trips to spear fish, and I've been 120 feet down and could still see the bottom of the boat. Most days, you'd lose sight about 60 to 70 feet down, but others it would be incredibly clear.

You don't have to go out that far to be in pretty water.

You assume wrongly.

North Padre Island, Mustang Island, Galveston Island, Gulfport, Biloxi, Tampa...all aren't as attractive as an ocean.

Eh, Galveston's fine. I like the Texas coast, and I've been to worse beaches both in this country and in Europe. With that said, I must have clicked on the wrong thread, though. I thought this was the Houston vs. Dallas thread, not a Galveston vs. Dallas thread. Last time I checked, Galveston was not in Houston. It's roughly an hour away.

And I wouldn't bring it up if not for the constant claims in this very thread like "Dallas doesn't even have an NFL team!" or "Plano/Frisco isn't Dallas!" You can't have it both ways, Houston.

Absolutely do not agree. Florida's best beaches are on the gulf.

When I am in Houston or Dallas (including the so-called "wealthy suburbs"), I feel like I am not in America.

My friends from Minneapolis were advised to move to Plano (new job at HP). The homes they toured were nice on the outside, but the smell inside some of the homes was atrocious from ethnic cooking. The kind of smell it takes tearing down the walls to get rid of. They ended up buying new house near Denton and my friend's husband commutes. They want to sell their house and move back to Minnesota.

The Houston v. Dallas thing was fun in the 1980s (Dallas usually winning due to zoning), but as far as i can tell today, they are two peas in a pod.

I'd hate to taste whatever bland dish you're having for dinner.
