wow sheryl!! that was amazing.... i am going to c&p your post into a word doc to save for when i am able to make more concrete relocation plans. with real estate here tanking so badly (although not as badly as many other parts of the country), i don't think i could sell my house for what i paid for it in 2004..... SOOOOOOO .... i am stuck in the midwest for another couple or 3 years i think ....... .....

but that was EXACTLY what i am looking for......

Really? Where would that be exactly? Perhaps I blinked on the way through town and missed it. One older HEB grocery store, a Wal-Mart and a handful of small specialty shops doesn't constitute "shopping". My impression has always been that there's more beach in Pt. Lavaca than shopping, and there isn't much beach. In fact, there's a shopping area, the old Wal-Mart site, where all the stores are abandoned and empty. I like Pt. Lavaca, but not for its shopping possibilities for sure.

Sheryl, this is very good info, and i also thank you for it. Do you happen to know what the Academy Reserve is at the end of Ethel st at Alamo Beach. I would be greatfull for any info you have. Thanks so much, Tom
