I think I'd count more as West Texas, but I'll answer anyway.

Braums or Dairy Queen for soft serve. Cold Stone for real ice cream. We have some joint around here called "Marble Slab" as well, but I've never been in there. It's apparently a Cold Stone clone.

Oh yeah, and now that I see the rest of this thread...Edy's ain't got nothing on Blue Bell. Haagen Dasz>Blue Bell>Edy's>Breyer's>generics. Don't like Ben & Jerry's so I didn't list it. I don't want that many...things...in my ice cream.

I go to Braum's, buy a carton of it, and stick it in the freezer. I haven't had any 'soft-serve' in years, although I have fond memories of it from the DQ. Braum's also has the best deal on good milk.
