So Beck wants to basically be a real estate developer. And this is news and differs from any other proposed lifestyle community (e.g. retirement community, artist community) how?

How do you guys feel about this? Sounds like another Waco to me..

BUT, maybe all the true RWNJ's can move there and have a grand ole' time!

I love when the "tolerant" liberals show their true colors with regard to alternative lifestyles...

BINGO. When you preach how liberal you are then turn around and act as close minded as those you despise...typical for people who profit from liberalism or idealistic young kids my age!

Umm... probably not. I am a card carrying Right Wing Nut Job myself and I am mostly just meh about the idea. The Alamo styled church does sound awesome though.

Well, from what I have seen.. most lifestyle centers don't sound like they're going to all barricade themselves in there 20 years down the line.

For example, a Media Center where Beck can stream his crazy opinions to his followers all day! And I can't help but laugh when it says, "it would be a place where aspiring journalists would learn how to be great reporters."

And I would normally say that a church in a neighborhood is cool, nothing bad about that, but when it is in Glenn Becks "Independence" enclave, it for some reason throws a lot of warning signs to me.

If you are not overly excited about living in Glenn Becks enclave, then you my friend, are not RWNJ enough!

Glenn Beck seemed to have forgotten to talk about a few basic things
- Is there going to be a government?
- Is there going to be taxes?
- Is the government going to provide public roads, lighting, clean water, sewage, garbage collection?
- Is the government going to allow illegal immigrants to work in the construction of houses and restaurants?
- Is everybody in Independence going to be allowed to "open-carry" guns?
- Are Casinos going to be allowed in Independence?
- Will Independence be a place where people will be free to drink in public?
- Is there going to be a Wal-mart?
- What is going to be the minimum wage in Independence? Is there going to be a minimum wage?

Why didn't Glenn Beck answer all of that?

While Texas *could* secede and make a fine go of it (having your own electric grid does help, after all), it would have nothing to do with Glenn Beck. Every five years or so some group of whackadoodles down here starts talking independence without bothering to consult the rest of us. It's about as relevant to real life as Yooper-vs-Kalamazoo fashion contest.

I'm sure this is what Glenn would say if asked those questions...

Makes just as much sense...

The stupidest statement in the whole list. The government can't provide without first taking. The government takes money from the citizens in order to build infrastructure because the government can't exist if the citizen has no way to get to work. If the citizen doesn’t wok then their would be no one to tax.
