Houston all the way!! The cost of living is lower than Dallas, the wages in Houston are higher than Dallas and the job market is growing the fastest of any major city in the USA! Also, if you are not interested in city life, Houston offers an extremely wide selection of suburbs to suit anyone's liking!

Houston has cooler summers than Dallas and warmer winters than Dallas. The winters here are very nice and mild, a very pleasant change from NYC.

It depends, what exactly are you looking for in a city? You can't go wrong either way but it depends on your preference for weather, mass transit, etc..... type of job, recreation

What are you looking for in a city? Urban living or suburban living? What's your budget? Tell us about yourself and tell us what you really dislike.

well i'm a city girl, but i'm looking for some place where the kids can live comfy. Some place with a nice nightlife for singles & some place with lots of activities for kids. Being from nyc, i dont mind the weather changes...

How do you feel about bad weather?

Houston gets a hurricane every few years and a few thunderstorms a year.

Dallas is at the southern edge of the USA's "Tornado Alley." It gets severe thunderstorms every month of the year and a few tornadoes a year. It also gets light snow or an ice storm roughly every other year. All of those are rare in Houston.

As far as unpleasant weather, Houston has more humidity than Dallas. Dallas has more heat than Houston.
