We just had three rounds of intense storms come through Lubbock in 12 hours. Rather strange for this time of year (and not the best for cotton farmers).

weather this morning on DFW station was 30% and mainly to the north--
hoping rain does not develop this evening with Rangers-Yankees set to go round 6

and except that we could use a little more rain (but not today/tomorrow in DFW) this has been an exceptionally nice October...

Yeah I was discussing this very same thing the other day with a friend of mine. Last year I distinctly remember being able to turn my AC off around the end of September and not turning it on again until sometime in late April. I've had to run it a few days this month...weird.

mine is on 65 right now. the forecast says that we're supposed to still be in the 80s come november ....that does it; if the temperature on thanksgiving day gets any higher than 70 degrees, i'll be forced to move

Ha ha.. Two (count them TWO) fronts are coming through the DFW area this week. They call them "cold" fronts, but they're nothing more than weak "cooler than hot" fronts. Yesterday was about 90 degrees. Today, not so bad at all with a high of about 78. But, the temps are going to go up again in a couple of days until that other "cooler than hot" front moves through PLUNGING us down into the upper 50s/low 60s for lows (I think there is an upper 40s thrown in there for one day though) and then on Halloween it's supposed to be back up in the low 80s again.

This weather sucks. I want the sunshine and all, but I want some crisp, cool temps. Today was pretty nice, but it's not consistent.

Where do you want to move AlGreen? I'm about ready to join ya.

It is so wonderful outside right now. The temperature is 64 degrees, 30% humidity, and a dew point of 32. The next few nights will be in the 30s and 40s. That is remarkable and wonderful. After another horrid summer, this is so appreciated and it will only get better.

Oh, you got that right. Today was one of those days that make you so grateful to be alive. Crisp, cool and an incredible deep blue sky. Simply gorgous! Love it! Looking forward to some more of these days!

yes today was a very very nice day (as far as the weather goes, anyway; my co-workers were getting on my nerves), and it's supposed to be nice all week, but we'll see....
