I like this warm dry weather. I like to grow palms, so I like when winter starts late and/or ends early.

You all realize it's not that much warmer than usual right? Take Houston for the past week as an example:

DATE/HIGH/AVERAGE
13/88/83
14/84/83
15/85/82
16/86/82
17/86/82
18/89/82
19/88/81

We're only running a few degrees above average. Not sure why people are so upset--I think it's been pretty pleasant lately.

It is better than August, but still not cool enough

yeah, i know we're only a bit above average, but the cooler days we experience a few weeks ago had me anticipating a very very nice october. what a big let down. hell, it was still the end of the september and i was already in thanksgiving mode

I was strolling around in Victory Plaza at noon today....put my hand on a metal handrail and it was so hot I had to jerk my hand off immediately! It was upper 80's, very sunny (eye-blinking bright)....just a wonderful, beautiful day.

Lubbock has perfect weather this time of year, though it's been a little above average lately. It's been in the low 80s and the average is usually in the 70s. A cold front came through last night, and it only got into the low 70s today.

it's supposed to get up to 89 degrees on monday...there were days in summer that were cooler than this

sometimes, really warm weather can just make me a downright mean and unpleasant person, but then i remember, who am i getting mad at? god? ...i mean, i guess the simple solution to not having to put up with this kind of weather would be to relocate somewhere where it doesn't get this warm...chicago's looking kinda good right now

...and what's worse is the bugs won't go away until it really cools down. flies, crickets, grasshoppers, gnats, mosquitoes, etc..they're still everywhere outside
