I got the idea for this thread from another one. i'm really interested in finding out which out-of-state license plates texans see the most often.

obviously the answers are going to depend on where in the state you're located (as some areas are more popular to some transplants than others), so please specify which metro or region of texas you reside in. feel free to elaborate as much as possible

I don't know why, but I've always paid particular attention to out of state license plates. Here's what I've noticed in Lubbock.

Unavoidable: New Mexico, Oklahoma
Pretty much every day: Colorado, Arizona, California
At least once a week: Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Missouri
Ones that I've never seen here: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, DC

Mostly Oklahoma but I should have also clicked other, because for the past few years I'm seeing plates from Missouri all over the Dallas area.

Nuevo Leon & Tamaulipas (practically more common than Texas plates, btw.) When the Winter Texans arrive to infest the area, there are lots of tags from Iowa, Minnesota, & all over Canada. I think the furthest away one I saw one time was New Brunswick.

I see a lot of NM and OK plates. Every time I see a NM plate, I wonder why they are here in all the humidity.
