It's not just about "if you don't want to drink, don't drink ", it has to do with trying to keep the roads safe from all the morons who do drink and choose to drive and then who gets killed !

The problem with that reasoning is that the same people will drive to the next county to purchase/drink the will drive back to their home county. So actually you dont eliminate that problem.

In 1988 their was a bus accident here that was the worst in US where a drunk driver was going the wrong way and ran into the bus killing 24 kids and 3 adults. I'm just saying....if your going to drink then at least care enough NOT to drive.

But drinking and driving is a different issue from the topic of the sale of alcohol.

And 2mares made a good point: dry counties have higher DUI rates than wet counties.

I think your point is valid and common sense. I also think it has absolutely nothing at all to do with the OP's question. Or his request of a list of dry counties.

I was giving my opinion to ELROD's statement of "if you don't want to drink, then don't drink " ...............apparently I've hit a sore spot with several of you !!! OK SO WHERE IS YOUR list of dry counties for the OP ? I was giving MY point of view of it .
