I have been searching for a town with great schools for my children in TN. As I have said in an earlier post, we did live in Soddy for 2 years, but the population is a little larger than what I am looking for. I have friends in Soddy who love the school there, but there seems to be alot of kids. I like the population size of Dunlap and Dayton, but have no idea what the school is like there? Is there someone on this forum who lives there who could give me some info on these towns? My husband is a licensed plumber, and I am sure he could find a job just about anywhere, but schools are very important to us.....

I was very interested in Maryville or Oak Ridge, because of the great schools, but not sure about the high population. It is so much harder moving when you have children in school. I have been doing a lot of research and we are hoping to be down there next year once school is out. I have gone to school websites, but getting feedback from others here will give me a better insight to the school.

Thank you for any information you can give me.

Two things I know about Dayton: 1. A great Christian college there (Bryan College); and 2) that's where the big monkey trial was - they made a movie about it.
