Does anybody know any decent home insurance company with sinkhole coverage other than Citizen or Town Hill? If yes, please kindly advise as I need to change it by the end of October. Thanks in advance for your prompt help advice.

I thought sinkhole (like flood) coverage was through a specialty underwriter. The following website may help with hazard insurance rates, but you will need a good insurance broker to buy ---> Compare Homeowner's Insurance Rates.

Thanks for the tip. Do you know if there is a way to review how good and/or rated is an Insurance Company?

I have sink hole insurance through Florida First Home ins...but they only cover primary residences...I don't flood ins. since I'm far from a flood zone. I needed to change after Hanover stopped writing coverage 2 years ago and they recommended them...I checked them out and the policy stated the same but the premium went way down

I have Citizens for a rental property which also saved me a lot of money compared to the previous HO ins.

Even on my car ins. I managed to save a lot of money so this year the ins. is keeping more money in my pocket...

Bentlebbe and KMSFLA, Thanks for your advices. My problem is that my current insurance company will not renew my coverage and it looks that living in Pasco, Florida there are not many options available. I have some quotes already received from Citizens and still waiting for a combo [Car/Home] from AAA. I had a good home insurance coverage for $1,300.00 now the less expensive [including sink hole coverage] does not go below $2,500.00. [Single Owned Home, 2000 SQF, 2 car garage attached, asphalt shingle and hurricane 2%].

You can get sinkhole and homeowners with Lloyds of London through States Zorro Insurance off US 19 or through Aeromax in Spring Hill.

My home is 3475 sqft (primary) $1200.- with First Home ins...firsthomeins.com...they write in Pasco County.
incl. sinkhole, hurricane and $175,000 in personal property...so to me that is a great deal...
