Does anyone know anything about this beach? My cousin said that she heard it was one nicest beaches around - not too crowded or commercialized. Anyone familiar with it. Could you tell me what is there? Any picnic tables and/or bbq's?

If you going to that area, go a little further to Fort Desota beach and you'll have everything you need for less cost and more room.

I love Pass-a-grille beach, although they have parking meters at the beach. Beautiful beach and not as crowded as Clearwater or St. Pete
I believe they have grills or picnic tables, but it has been awhile since I was there.

Ft DeSoto is nice especially the picnic area , but I didn't think the beach itself was as nice, or at least the beach I went to wasn't as nice. The beach is away from the picnic area.

If you are looking for a place with picnic tables, bbq and a beautiful beach, go to Caladesi Island. There is a ferry from Dunedin/Honeymoon Island. It is also not crowded because the only way to get there is by boat. Named as one of the most beautiful beaches
