It is great to see how booming Pasco County is with a mall going to be build in Trinity and Phase II being build soon for Wiregrass Mall (The Shops at Wiregrass) with luxury apartments.

The Outlet mall is on it's way and they are building very fast and a Hockey ring should start to be build pretty soon too.

Wiregrass Mall To Expand

Also the extension for St Rd 56 was announced to be started in 2016 with 2 lanes and later 2 lanes to be added to extend the road all the way through Zephyrhills.

That should all be very good for the economy which means everyone will get to enjoy a piece of the pie.

Plus the Tampa Premium Outlets going in on 54 and 75. 54 will be just like BBD in a few years. A good thing for consumers and a nightmare for traffic!

I don't see how this is a "good thing for consumers"??? People should spend their money to travel around the US or the world and not on continuing to stuff their closets with useless stuff. We have enough stores already, and they all sell crap.

Traffic is a nightmare already in that area...

Since 9/11 due to a certain group of people who don't seem to like Americans and anyone not related to their cause, too much, traveling is not as much fun anymore as it used to be.

We used to travel all over the world and loved it, now not so much anymore due to the increased fees for luggage, less you can take, many people who seem to be on an edge and lots of luggage getting lost, stolen by employees or delayed as well as flight delays.

The other option is to go by car and since 2008 the gas prices are not that much fun either to drive too much.

Just look at the increase of smaller cars over here and that happened due to the gas prices and not because everyone loves to sit in small cars and seeing the parking lot spaces getting smaller every time the parking lot is resurfaced.

I understand that shopping is not for everyone but it will bring jobs to the area and others can choose to travel away from the area, go to the beaches, fishing, boating, attend a sports game or play sports themselves at the Public sports park on Boyette rd or hang out at home, etc.

We all can expect traffic to increase but keep in mind for the ones who used to go to Orlando to the outlet malls it will save time and gas not having to stay in traffic jams over there.

BS!

Those jobs are CRAP. Those jobs are not the kind that will support an economy. Those are jobs that keep people on welfare because they don't pay enough for people to afford anything.

That sounds like a VERY BORING/Repetitive & pathetic thing to do.

NOTHING will stop the traffic jams in Orlando because if they're not locals, their tourists who have no idea where anything is because they're not familiar with mapquest or the likes.

Societally speaking, to replace travel with shopping is pretty dumb. IF you don't like the prices and fees protest them. The ONLY reason they get away with it is because people are complacent and don't say anything. Guess what, there were wars, like WWII and people still traveled. People all over the world travel the world, Americans are the only society that enforces bubble living. I cannot teach my kids that THAT is an OK thing to do. It's ridiculous. "Shopping" is a necessity not a sport. How many shirts does one need?

I agree having more retailers is nothing to get excited about, very low paying jobs they can support. Nationally the business model of mall is declining big time. Some are converting to something else. People are just walking in 'em than spending but they seem to expand over here. They must know what they are doing as they are putting their money.

Sounds awesome. Wiregrass Mall is the one good thing about this area.

Are these the high paying jobs that gov Scott keeps talking about? Lol. We're are the high paying jobs to support all the high rents thats happening here and to fill all of these new luxury appartment's.
