Okay, you're using tolerate and acclimate interchangeably.

Didn't pick up that and now I understand.......

I never liked it as a kid or working outside in my 20's. And now that is warmer in the fall, winter and spring i like it even less. Summer has always been hot here.

Curious where you landed? Don't want to trade the miserable heat for a cold winter. Would love to find a nice middle ground location though. Really like the coastal California weather but would absolutely hate living with that "crowd".

One would almost need to be a snowbirder to get out of the heat completely. I visited Cheyenne, Wyoming for a few days this summer and it was absolutely perfect. But I'm sure winters are brutal. Some summers I've gone up to Upstate NY - again, beautiful weather, but wouldn't survive a winter.

Visited SLC, Utah for a month (last July) and it was 100-degrees some of the days. Torture.

Hawaii had the best climate that I've ever lived in. Too expensive cost of living, imo.

I initially moved to California but I've since lived in multiple states and countries. But I like the cold.

Living on the West side of LA was pretty close. LA does still get hot, but you aren't going to do better than living near the water in SoCal. Raleigh was also nice...yes hot summers but they have 4 seasons. Perfect weather isn't out there though, that's for sure.

At least water temps don't get to 90+ out there so no reverse west wind flow.

I love the snow so I moved back to Michigan last April lived in Clearwater for 6 years, could not take the heat and crazy drivers any longer. Only reason we moved to Florida was because the wife was offered a job, but because of no raises and higher than hell medical insurance we moved back were she got a job making more money and better medical insurance and medical care.

San Diego comes pretty close to having perfect weather.

It's number one on this list.

The 20 Best Places to Live in the U.S. for the Weather | Real Estate | US News

Days below freezing: ZERO
Days above 90: 3, although I have never seen that happen.

Also I would vote Maui, although too hot for me.

Lists like these are very subjective. One man's poison ivy is another man's spinach.
There are many of us who like Florida's weather just fine .
90+ suits me just tickety-boo and I like the humidity. It's great for my health.
