Hello,

Has anyone driven straight through from Columbus, Ohio to Tampa, Florida? How long did it take you?

Thanks,
Jason

I always use google maps but the times they give are not always accurate so I wanted to see if anyone actually did the drive.

Google Maps time seems about right. Of course it depends on how many stops you do, if you have kids. How many miles you can go before you need to refill, etc. We drove all the way from Alaska, and frankly by the time we got to Ohio we were no longer paying attention, nor caring how long it took to go from one point to another. We would just drive and drive and drive.... typically 20 hours a day or more.

I can get to Tampa from ATL from 6.5 to 7 hours. However, plan for more due to the South Georgia never ending construction project.

I did the drive the other day, as a matter of fact. Took me about 17 hours.

I took 71 to 75. 75 in Tennessee is beautiful. The rest of the drive is typical interstate. The Atlanta/Tampa stretch is pretty boring. I've never driven through Kansas, but I've heard how boring it is, and I can imagine south of Atlanta is similar to that. Miles upon miles of flat, featureless pavement.

Cincinnati to Tampa took 15 hours. Tack on another two hours to get from Columbus to Cincinnati and it should be just about 17 hours.
