What I coincidence....I just got billed $ 5.35 by Enterprise for a rental car and using MY OWN SUNPASS!

Total Toll Amount: $1.40

TollPass Convenience Fee: $3.95 $3.95 per toll usage day, max $19.75 per rental

Total Charges: $5.35

I was told to show proof of Sunpass charging me and emailing it to them and then they will take the charge off. The Convenience fee of $ 3.95 seems to be ridiculous high as it is over 200% of Sunpass toll charge!

If I hadn't read this thread I would have thought my credit card was compromised so again I appreciate the information as it came at the right time

Just a quick update. Enterprise just emailed us back that the "convenience fee" will be credited back due to us showing the SunPass statement. The only strange thing is that according to the statement from Enterprise they have a toll charge of $ 1.40 that they won't credit back for a toll plaza that the car seems to have gone through that is not showing on our statement.

We won't argue this as we don't even remember where we went through all the toll plaza's as we had so many but how can a Surpass not register that toll plaza as we left the Surpass 24/7 on the front window.

Has anyone else had that experience?

This reminds me of a toll booth story:

2 years ago I was driving from Orlando east towards Cape Caneveral, Cocoa Beach. I had never made this trip before so unfamilar with the roads but I surprised that every 5 or 10 miles or so I had to veer of the road to a manned toll both.

After about the 4th time this happened I asked they lady at the booth how may more of these tolls would I have to pay before reach the end.

She told me, "You have to pay all of them".

I smiled and thanked the nice lady and continued on my way
