Hi, my fiancé and I are looking to move to St. Louis. I am starting to look for apts and I'm not sure which neighborhoods to look in. She will be attending law school at Wash U, so something close to the campus would be preferable. Any recommendations?? Thank you!

University City maybe? You can also look into Clayton, but it will be a bit more pricey. Central West End is also a popular area for college students.

Do you want more big apartment buildings, nightclubs and restaurants, or more quiet residential streets? I'm guessing public schools are not a factor?

U City, CWE, Dogtown, Richmond Heights...You really need to focus on the Delmar Loop...

Hey, UNIgrad, what about yourself? Living in near the U City Loop area would be great for your fiance for getting to the Danforth campus, but where are you headed each day? If you are going to school at Wash U yourself or working in Clayton or the CWE for example, the Loop would be a fantastic location for both of you to live. But if you have to head out to St. Charles or Chesterfield every day for work, you may want to consider a compromise location.

He seems pretty set on having the location be near his wife's law school studies on the main campus. So therefore I'd say in and near the U.City Loop, CWE, Richmond Heights, Clayton, Dogtown, all good choices as mentioned above. He can still get to most parts of town from there fairly easily.

Thanks everyone. I am currently still looking for a place to work. Commuting really isn't a problem for me and I would like to stay as close to the campus as possible. I think we found a loft in the loop that is very new and very reasonably priced, all of which is what we were looking for. I know it seems odd to find an apartment before a job but I know roughly what I would make as an entry-level employee and this one will work. But thank you all again!
