Sure he was a great golfer but whew I'd bet John Daly was a better person off the course!
Daly was who he was, didn't try to hide behind the good guy image.

Tiger is a degenerate sex addict. I can't remember where I was when he won any tournament but I remember exactly where I was that morning when he got hit with the 9 iron and crashed his Escalade!
Guy had fame, fortune and a beautiful wife but blew it all apart for porn stars, Waffle House waitresses and the rest of the women. The internet certainly doesn't forget, he must of made his kids so proud when they google his name and the scandal pops up!

All the trophies, mansions and yachts still don't disguise what a dirt bag he is in real life.

Interesting. One is a "better" person and the other is a "dirt bag". Yet - both are fairly similar.

Both have/had addiction issues, both are divorced (w/ very public relationship dramas played out), both are in the same line of work. The real difference (aside from the success) is that one "didn't try to hide behind the good guy image".... but also had a lot less to lose...

At the end of the day - everyone is entitled to their opinions. You think this guy is the devil... that's your prerogative. No one can tell you otherwise. Just seems like the reasoning is somewhat contradictory.

I've never got the impression that Tiger Woods was a bad guy, he seems to get alone with everyone.
I want Theegala to win this US Open, but if he doesn't then I want Rory McIlroy to win it.

Tiger may be the greatest but Father Time has caught up with him and he's no longer competitive. I still like to watch him play.

He had that feud with Phil Mickelson for a while, right?

Mickelson looks like he's got a short fuse, so no surprise here.
Honestly though I wasn't following golf much when that happened so can't really assess who was in the wrong.
Just googled it and...

In February 1998, Tiger Woods played a practice round with Phil Mickelson ahead of the Nissan Open at the Valencia Country Club in California when both men were in their 20s. The pair had agreed to a bet, with the winner taking $500 from the other.

By the end of the round, Mickelson emerged victorious. He celebrated by putting photocopies of his five winning $100 bills into Woods’ locker with a note that read: “Just wanted you to know Benji and his friends are very happy in their new home.”

“Woods seethed,” writes author Bob Harig in his new book “Tiger and Phil – Golf’s Most Fascinating Rivalry” (St. Martin’s Press), out this month, noting that the pros wouldn’t play another practice round together until 20 years later at the 2018 Masters.

US Open is definitely the most enjoyable major (to watch), because the greens are so interesting and their salad bowl contours.
It will create more drama because the leader is never safe, with bogeys or double bogeys so common.
And I hope Rory wins it, 3 shots behind the leader entering final day, and hasn't won a major for 10 years.

I use to watch all golf I could but no longer. I got turned off by rory, Jordon, JT and Jim nuance’s cancel culture. They had to bash people who left for Liv. Big case of karma today as Rory chooked and loses to a Liv golfer.

Remember when Brandel said Liv golfers won’t win as they aren’t competing with the best. Opps sorry brandel lol. To think golf was a big enough deal to change people’s perspective of saudi was silly and to make fun of those who took care of their families by accepting Liv was low class.

I watch Liv online not the pga now. But watch little golf. I don’t care to hear and see pga your golfers refuse handshakes with former friends over this silliness.

There is coming 2nd, which is a great result, and then there is that gimme putt Rory missed, totally mental capitulation on the 18th.
Will be hard to regain major confidence after that, though I guess he never had that confidence (in the last 10 years) anyway.
