Could be another Grand Slam for them, soon after getting their first in a long time.

I haven't seen them play except for the first half of yesterday's game, but they were really creative on attack and great at the breakdown, I wonder what's behind their recent resurgence.

Joe Schmidt and John Plumtree, will have played a big part in that. Both sharp operators as coaches.

Damn. Next round of 6N, is next weekend not this weekend. Most appealing games so far.

We have Super rugby this weekend, but only two African games. The season proper starts next weekend. My 2nd favorite rugby tournament (ITM Cup #1).

Ireland controlled the Welsh pretty well, they couldnt do anything to put us off our game. I think we should be able to beat England but it will be a close one.

Carlin Isles to Glasgow Warriors: Confirmed: USA Rugby speedster Carlin Isles signs in Glasgow | The Province

He's incredibly fast, but he's tiny. I'm very curious to see how this works out. Come to think of it, I also wonder if he might give League a try some time.

On a somewhat unrelated matter, here's a plan for distribution of teams for a potential USA/Canada representative league, like a North American Pro 12, somewhat correlated to existing territories:

Boston (New England)
New York (Empire)
Philadelphia (Eastern Pa)
Raleigh (Carolinas)
Atlanta (True South and unaffiliated Georgia)
Orlando/Miami (Florida)
Dallas (Texas)
Los Angeles (Southern California)
Bay Area (Northern Cali)
Seattle (Pacific Northwest)
Chicago (Mid America and the unaffiliated states east of Minnesota/Iowa)
Denver (Mid America and unaffiliated states west)
Toronto
Montreal
Vancouver

Home-and-away league format, maybe a four team playoff like England. Autumn-to-spring schedule. The teams get their domestic talent from clubs/universities in their designated areas, with an allocation for foreign players, and maybe a "designated player" like MLS, if a team with enough cash wanted to sign an over the hill superstar (like maybe Chabal or Sonny Bill Williams in a few years).

Feast of rugby the next 7 days. Highlights for me, round 3 of Super 15 rugby and the 6 Nations.

June 7th USA will be hosting Scotland at BBVA Compass stadium in Houston. First, I'm very curious what the attendance turnout will be, because if a good one might be good for rugby in this country; and second, the heat and humidity will be really tough on the players, and might possibly be a big home field advantage.

When Ireland played USA there I hear the attendance was pretty good. I am contemplating going to the game myself.

They are expecting a 40k crowd for the All Blacks game vs the USA. 20k short of ground capacity, but a large TV audience.

Not helped that the All Blacks will be playing a "B" team. Still, it will be a team capable of beating the top International teams.
