So I finally got around to watching the first test.
Some really great tries by Folau, North and Cuthbert. Overall, I think the Lions can definitely ride the strength of their pack and the boot of Leigh Halfpenny to an overall tour victory.
Just got home from attending the two Lions games in Melbourne. The Rebels game was abit of a fizzer. Really enjoyed the Test.
My sort of game, defensive arm wrestle between two quality teams, with so much to win or lose. Electric atmosphere, Lions fans signing was legendary. Main thing, everyone I saw was pretty well behaved and little trouble. There is always going to be the odd exception. UK fans coming to this part of the world for rugby have a reputation for having a good time but not at the expense of others. No different this time from what we saw.
So I'm watching the 2nd test now. Again, if I'm picking English players for this tour, I really don't understand how Mako Vunipola makes it in over Launchbury and/or Lawes. Different positions sure, but Vunipola was a liability out there, and didn't impress me as much as either of the others during the Six Nations.
I really do dislike Gatland. He has it in for Ireland.
I don't think he has it in for Ireland , I know people who played with and under gatland when he was at Connacht over twenty years ago and they had all the time in the world for him and say he loved his time in galway
kiwis are incredibly hard headed people by nature , something irish people find hard to fathom
Great stuff from the Lions. Goodbye Robbie and can't wait for the Lions tour of NZ in four years.
