Last night I was out driving, saw a fox along side the road. Pretty creature.

Then I was reminded of the old old joke... How do you turn a fox into a rotweiler?

You marry her.

I slept well. I actually slept in, till 10. That never happens. Then this song popped into my head.

I overheard my 6 year old grandson say to the 11 year old neighbor kid: "You should have told me you suck, at checkers. I wouldn't have played so mean!"

I have canine houseguests. I also have a tiny house. There are 4 retired racing greyhounds (2 mine, 2 visitors) sprawled on the floor. There is no room to walk anywhere without stepping on a long skinny leg or a long skinny tail. It looks like a greyhound hauler exploded all over the living room.

It’s so hot, I had some corn outside for the squirrels that the corn started popping and our cat thought it was snow and froze to death!

On August 14th, 2011 the city of Pierre,SD had the honor of being the final city to host and raise the 9/11 Patriot Flag as part of the 9/11 Honor and Remembrance Tour. The Patriot Flag has been on tour in all 50 states, and farther as part of a Remembrance Tour to remind everyone of the brave men and women that perished in the terrorist attacks. The ceremony in Pierre, SD was the final stop before the flag heads back to New York in preparation for the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

This gallery contains numerous photographs taken during this ceremony.
