I was in Aiken this spring looking for land to build a home to retire. I fell in love with L&S but the price of a 1/3 acre lot was quite stiff. I did purchase with a 6 mo contingency of selling my home. Now, with the real estate mkt. so soft (I have not sold my home), I am wondering if I should let the land go. I have been watching listings in Realtor.com and nothing is selling in that sub. Does anyone out there live or know about L&S? Would I be better off cancelling the contract and looking again after I sell? I would hate to spend a lot of money on something I could never sell for that much.
