In over 20 years here, I've never heard of one. And the reason would be: you can't do that!
If you want to "tour" the bridge at road surface, drive over it and back, or take a bus over it and back.
If you want to "tour" the bridge from the water level, take a boat tour that goes into Lake Washington, which would include some explanation of how it floats but you can Google that anyway.
Other than those approaches, you'd have to work for the Washington Department of Transportation, and be assigned to the bridge, to be on the bridge without moving across it in a vehicle. Make sense?

allforcats, that doesn't sound so nice!

I'd love to take a tour of the Evergreen Floating bridge. They give tours of our sewage treatment plants, of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, of the Seattle City Watershed that is closed to the public.

In college I toured the steam tunnels that ran underneath the college that were normally closed off.

Why can't they give a tour of the inside of the Floating Bridge? That would be way cool! As long as they don't sink it when I'm in the tour.....

Dangerous beyond belief. It's not an "attraction".

And how is a tour of the sewage plant an "attraction"? Or the underground steam tunnels? Or the underground of Seattle? Attractive nusiances perhaps....

You could just try driving across it during rush hour when it's snowing. You'll have plenty of time to look at it.

not quite what i had in mind but, very funny ...

i read somewhere - can't remember where, about someone getting a tour of the bridge, actually getting to go inside of it - thought that'd be interesting but then again - watching cars sit in traffic has it's merits too

ok, well i'm going to watch grass grow now - riveting stuff :P

There was a time that you could probably have gotten a tour of the bridge, but with worries about terrorism I doubt that there is much of a chance for the public to really see inside.

You could always try contacting the public relations department at WSDOT to see if they ever have any kind of a tour that you can join.

See the thread about watering lawns. You can't watch grass grow right now!! You'll have to find something else to do.
