Oh and I also was intrigued by Montlake. Couldn't find alot but I liked the few pics I saw though it said property crime was a bit higher than average. And then someone mentioned Broadview. Could find barely anything for that area.

I prefer Madison Park over Montlake. You should take a stroll at Madison Park beaches, I think you just might like the area. The houses there, as beautiful and old as they are, look very expensive. Old Seattle at its best. Montlake does have very easy access to UW.

Broadview is just one of those Seattle neighborhoods no one ever talks about. It feels very suburb-y with lots of older homes. My husband's grandmother used to live just below there, in Crown Hill/Blue Ridge area. Nice area, great access to Golden Gardens (have you been? Heavenly). Plus there's Dick's. Who can complain about that.

Thanks for all of the info No I have not been to Golden Gardens or Madison Park. Unfortunately I always seem to end up the same places when I go to Seattle, just seems to work out that way.

I was able to find a little bit of info on Crown Hill but not a lot, I will have to research that one further. My son and I have to take his friend to the airport on Wednesday, but I think after he and I might pick a neighborhood and explore a little. We won't have much time but might as well keep it from being a wasted trip
