This is not even a joke and it was probably wise for them to respond.

Huh? Climate? I don't see the connection. Perhaps you can add some additional information as to to why climate would cause such events.

Assuredly he meant that cool weather is ideal for ambling around with signs surging to and fro.

Nonsense. Seattle's climate is comparable to most cities in Northern Europe. And beyond that, this was more than "signs surging to and fro". There was violent action against the SPD, and of course this story will not be covered because CNN/Fox/MSNBC go to sleep after 11pm eastern.

Coverage has been up for hours and it was nothing serious.

Agreed, nothing of substance happened in Seattle tonight. But I will disagree that "climate" has anything to do with it. As I said, Seattle's climate is not so much different than most of Northern Europe. Look at the stats.

Oh, I'm sure the climate thing is just a joke.

However, Northern Europe does see a lot of protests and such, too. I think the actual causal factor is just Seattle's concentration of lefties.

... I don't think he meant climate as in weather pattern. He may have meant more in terms of ambience (as in Seattle's liberalness).
