My point was that they could, at some point, merge a human mind with an artificial body - whether a biological live organism or a non-biological construct or a mix of both. With mind controlled devices becoming a reality now, this is no longer the stuff of a science fiction.
If you don't want to call it "artificial life form", don't. Let's not get hung up on semantics.
The fact is, this will not be available to everyone. At least at first, it will simply not be economically feasible. So the first generation or two will have to chose who gets to die and who gets to live another life. And chances are, by the time it does become feasible to outfit every human on the planet with this "life extender" body, the society would already be split into "immortals" and "mortals" and the "immortals" would not be keen on all of a sudden providing this immortality benefit to every goat herder in Sudan or every welfare recipient in Detroit. This would only be available to those who can afford it, or are somehow valuable. There's also a tremendous problem with stopping a natural life / death cycle. The planet can only support so many inhabitants.
A way out would be to "upload" the minds of "less fortunate" people into some system to have a life in a Matrix like VR, and only give bodies to the ones who are worthy or can afford it. This seems theoretically possible. That way, an infinite number of people could have "afterlife" at very little cost to society. Perhaps the entire concept of "heaven" came from some distant historic memories of something similar... just kidding.
Either way, the not so far away future is pretty scary and uncertain, and exciting at the same time.

Uploading person mind to computer VR world would still kill the person. All you have is copy of persons mind!! You can't cut and paste person's mind. People don't want copy of them self in computer VR world. If you could cut and paste person's mind in computer VR world than you are not dead.

Well, this is just one way in which "immortality" could be extended to all people.
Otherwise, you inevitably end up with society divided into "mortals" that live a long life then die, and "immortals" provided with second body, whose life span is only defined by the ability of their mind to stay functional.

We should ask are self how much we want robots to replace human jobs.
The American economy is really bad and been that way for very long time with unemployment is at 10 percent now!! And many other places even higher at 15% in the US!!!
With robots entering society in the next 4 years the unemployment will go up so much that majority of people in the US will have no jobs.
People need to talk about morality of robots and how much people will allow robots to replace human jobs.
The American economy is really bad now and this will make it worse.
Gone are the heydays of the 50's and 60's of almost full employment!!
Technological unemployment is going to be a major issue in the next 5-15 years. Why I support a basic income for some and a flat tax to pay for it.
This does not had to the fact a lot of factories and warehouse will be done by robots and not people.
With this unemployment will really go up.
With robots and drive less cars could put truckers out of work!!
Look what happen to Detroit when it lost all their factories and industry.
