I had Alltel back in 2000 and they sucked! Rather they have changed or not in the past 7 years I don't know. I currently have Verizon Wireless and have had Verizon Wireless for 5 years or so and they are good, I haven't had any problems.

Happy Choosing!

I have had Alltel since August of 2008 and altho I have had billing issues with them they are usually taken care of with a phone call. Their service up and down the east coast is awsome I have been from Central Vermont to Fort Lauderdale and even to Las Vegas, Utah and Tennesee there are some roaming areas in the mid east US and some dead spots but have not even been tempted to switch service and now with the 20 free on my circle me my husband and my 3 kids (two are teenagers) never run over on our minutes I love it.

Since Verizon took over Alltel, I now have terrible reception in NW Bradenton, & lots of dropped calls. Who has good reception here?

I also have Verizon/Alltel and am sick of the high prices & decreasing service. I am switching to Sprint very soon. $40/mo less for the same plan

We have AT&T and love the service we get here...I work in the boonies in Myakka and am never without service. My husband is in and out of buildings all day and never loses signal..we have great service at the beaches too. VERIZON for cell service is a NO WAY IMO..we went through a few cell phones before realizing the crappy service wasn't because of phone, it was the provider!

Over the years I have had Alltel, Nextel and ATT. I now use ATT and while people can find something to complain about with all cel providers, for me ATT works best. In FL, ATT has very good coverage and I rarely experience a dropped call. I also use the internet on my phone (it's handy for work) and ATT seems to do a good job there. Each year I travel to NH and my friends there have Verizon. They often have better reception than I do. Verizon has many more towers in the NE, ATT beats them in the SE.
